ہم نے دیکھا ہے اسے خوابوں میں
مگر جاگے تو وہ کھو جاتا ہے

کبھی اس کے قدموں کی آہٹ سنی
کبھی ہم نے اسے پکارا بہت

محبت وہ زخم ہے جو دکھتا نہیں
پر ہر سانس میں جلتا ہے

دور ہو کر بھی تم ہمارے ہو
یادوں کے دھاگے جوڑے ہوئے

ہم نے دروازہ بند نہیں کیا
تم نے واپس نہیں دیکھا

اک چھوٹی سی ملاقات بھی
اب خواب لگتی ہے ہمیں

جدائی نے سکھا دیا ہے
تنہا ہونا بھی اک فن ہے

اور بھی دکھ ہیں زمانے میں محبت کے سوا
راحتیں اور بھی ہیں وصل کی راحت کے سوا
